Russian Invasion

We're booked on the Enchanted Princess for a 25 night transatlantic cruise on April 9, 2022.

Port visits include Estonia and St. Petersburg Russia. News has just been announced that Russia has begun an invasion of Ukraine and has the country surrounded on three sides. This does not look good.

Anyone care to speculate on what may happen with our visits. Will we make these ports? Or will our tours be cancelled? I'm sure there will be many troop movements throughout Europe

and many disruptions in fuel supplies, transportation, etc.

We currently have tours booked for St. Petersburg with Alla -Tours.

Royal Caribbean is making alternate arrangements for ports, in the event that Russia is made to be a no-go.

Im Sure Carnival Corp will be making similar arrangements.

Not going to Russia. No money should be flowing their way.

Think the gulags have internet access??? never mind, bad joke......last place I'd want to be is an American in Russia, especially if I didn't absolutely positively have to be there....followed by the Ukraine itself...Estonia is probably ok..yeh, the cruise lines will change ports if necessary, but that could be an executive (money driven) decision....surprised some Fed bureaucrat hasn't already mandated "no cruises to Russia until....whenever"...of course, observing troop/tank movements can be a fun afternoon...unless of course, yer in em.....or, you're the object of the exercise....

As the Ukraine is near to the Black Sea rather than the Baltic, i don't think there will be any problems with Estonia, we will have to see what happens to St Petersburg but fingers crossed nothing. However saying that, the cruise lines are very good at changing ports of call if needed, extra day here or a new port there. Just be a bit flexible.
