RFID WRISTBANDS...

I don't think NCL has them yet, at least I have not heard of them on NCL. My last cruise was on RCL and they were testing them with some passengers but you had to pay to get one. As for my preference, the jury is still out on that one. I do not wear a watch or for that matter any jewelry and have not for many years. I hate having something hanging off my wrist. If I need a time piece that is one of the reasons i carry a cell. My cell by the way is a nice small one so it is easier to carry in a pocket. On board a lot of the time I just slide my card into my shirt pocket and that is all I have when I float around the ship (yes .. pun is always intended) . No phone, no watch, no worries ... most of the time.

For doing things on ship I always use the ship app on my cell and do carry that sometimes and I do like the features on the app. I don;t think too many of the cruise lines have added any features to the wrist band yet other than using it to replace your card.

Thanks for that. what line/ship had them? I refuse to carry my cell around. refuse. did you get a regular key card as well? how did it work at the bars? I get the feeling in advance I don't like the idea, but I'm trying to keep an open mind.

I like them. I found them better for the pool or gym as you won't leave it behind (if you're wearing it). Depending upon the readers, purchases using the bands can take some playing around with.

I dislike carrying my phone around also, but the on-board apps just keep adding more features to entice keeping them with you.
