Princess Cruises "Crab Shack" in the Horizon Court: Is it worth the cost?

The ones we have been at it were held in a roped off section of the buffet area. They were real careful to not let anyone in who hadn't paid for that. The tables were set up in advance with table cloths with lots of room. One time tables in the rest of the buffet were full and crowded. I notice one dude fill his plate at the buffet then sneak under the rope and take a nice seat by the window. Didn't take long for them to give him the old heave-ho. I sort of doubt the shorts but then maybe you can. Since it can be messy you don't want to wear good clothes. They give you huge bibs and lots of napkins but still---Ha.

Is it in a separate dining room?

Is there a dress code, or can you wear shorts and tee shirt?

We never miss one if we can help it. You are only going to see one on a seven day cruise, if you see that many. They don't advertise time and place until just before the event. Got seated right away but they prefer reservations. They have always had a lot of space between the tables and it was a fairly quiet atmosphere. Way more than I can eat. You aren't going to get fresh fish/seafood anywhere hardly, it has been frozen, which actually is just as good, another subject another time. If you don't like seafood don't go but if you do you shouldn't miss it.

Downside is, if they hold it on a formal night, then we have to decide which to do, we like to dress up on formal night, but I made the mistake of wearing my tux to the crab shack, don't do that, don't wear your finest either as it can get a little sloppy. I think they make adjustments if one likes seafood and the other doesn't. They have a charge, but it was less than the other specialities, forget how much, worth it though.
