Post mastectomy

Background:

- post-mastectomy (bilateral) female in her 50's

- aesthetic flat closure

Question:

- many venues allow post-mastectomy women who have "gone flat" to go topless with absolutely no issue

- does anyone know cruiseline policies & have you ever encountered a "gone flat" post-mastectomy cruiser who was brave enough to bare their chest

*specifically NCL as it will be the first cruise I take post-operatively, but any info about any cruiseline is appreciated

It still takes a lot of courage. Please let us know what you discover. It’s always helpful to have a definitive answer for others.

I seem to be getting a lot of conjecture so will be contacting cruiselines directly.

Thanks for the input & well wishes nonetheless. Hugs & love to all...God knows we need it. Happy

Clarification: I am not a survivor...I am a "previvor" due to genetic mutation & family history. Thanks all for input. I think I will contact NCL directly to see if they have established protocol.

Congratulations on your survival! Carnival used to have a topless area. But due to pressure from several cruisers, it no longer exists. I’ve not heard of any cruise lines allowing “gone flat” topless areas.

Thank you. So glad that post-mastectomy "flatties" are becoming more accepted...tattoos or not.

btw, we have seen post mastectomy women that had large tattoos covering / incorporating the scars.
just an option

As far as I know, NCL has no topless decks. Maybe on European sailings. I could be wrong
