I am considering purchasing a pocket translator but can't find sufficient info on the different models. What's good? What's bad? What's junk? Cheap? Unreliable?
I know many of you must have them, so what are your recommendations? Pros. Cons. Etc.
I can's find any info on Consumer Reports and I can't really trust seller reviews.

There are many apps that use the same services and therefore give identical translations. I was using Microsoft translator

My DH has an “I translate” app on his phone. He actually hasn’t had a chance to use it, but “played” with it with friends who speak other languages. Hope you find what you are looking for!
I tried Amazon but all the results were poor on reviews and quality. I thought this would be something the cruise community would be into and know something about.
My guess is at this point that there are no good options and this is not something that would be viable or practical.

Never used one...always managed to make myself understood...some terms and ahem "signs" are universal...however, you got me curious...whenever I'm buying almost anything, I go to AMAZON, and read the reviews of folks who have bought it...anything...good, bad and ugly....whether I'm buying the item thru them or not...good luck....
