PASSPORT PROCESSING TIME...UNBELIEVEABLE!!!!!

Walgreens for pix, filled out the form online and printed it, took it to USPO for mailing...Feb 13, 2024....received it priority Mail TODAY, 2/27/24, and that included Presidents Day Fed Holiday!!! Total cost $16 for the pix and $209 for mailing and "express service" processing. Could it be done cheaper?...yep, check the Passport Website for other options.....did I care?... nope....did i need it "right away"? .. nope....I just assumed the Fed would screw it up and take a couple months...besides, since it lasts 10 years, i figured I was getting my $$ worth...it absolutely shocked me to see it this afternoon...Your tax dollars (and my $209) at work!!

SILENCE! INFIDEL!! Will assess your information for truthfulness...if you lie, things will not go well for you.

OK, I can see that. You definitely have the right temperament to qualify as a govt employee.

But I can't place the accent. Is that eastern European, or Brooklyn?

BTW-FWIW my review is up.

Careful comrade, I've already been offered a job in the next administration...und ve haf vays of making you talk schweinhundt!!!

Well, the DOS does monitor YOUR posts on this site. They probably decided to head fake you so you'll give them a glowing review. Looks like their plan worked. Nice going, you've just disseminated fake news.

Happy to hear that they have stream lined the process and turn around time. Thanks for sharing this information.

Well...to be technically correct...it was HER passport...and she's just a young thing!! I have another 3 years to go....well.....more than that I hope......btw, they've made changes to the book...the actual ID/picture stuff is now on the last two pages, one is heavily laminated, no more fumbling, and theres a place on the cover to scan for more info...not to mention with facial recognition spreading, you can keep it in your pocket and never take it out...oh yeah, the serial number changes, and BE SURE TO SIGN IT!...or you'll be explaining it all down at city hall, as the saying goes...

When the Department of State saw your age, I guess they wanted to get the passport to you immediately !!Wink

This is one government entity that has lived up to it's charge to improve customer service since the Covid struggles.
