For any newbies out there, do not travel out of USA without a passport book! I know you might be able to if your on a closed loop cruise that originates and ends in the USA or a US Territory...but if you get off to see the island of ? and you do not make it back on before it leaves or you get sick (deathly) and they transport you to that country...your going to have alot of issues to deal with and many are financially related to get home. Do not risk it in my opinion. You could slip on the ship break a leg and they need to send you off for medical treatment. Not worth the risks.

OUTSTANDING!!! Now go enjoy the cruise....pleeeeeze!!!

that IS a good point. my husband still has two more years on his, i just renewed mine in October cause i had to get the kids their first passports. Mine still had my maiden name on it LOL but expired anyways. Thanks so much guys, i always appreciate the fast responses too!!! ill be sure to come back with some photos

Good catch! mebbe she does and mebbe she doesn't.....my wife just renewed her passport, (incredibly, it took all of 2 wks or so beginning to end..I started a thread on the subject)....but....no need to have a birth certificate anywhere in the process...whats it for?

You "haven't been cruising since 2016" tells me you could very well be nearing the expiration date on your passport. You need to check that and be sure and renew at least 6 months ahead of time. Oh and you might want to go ahead and get a new copy of that missing birth certificate if you plan on renewing the passport anytime soon.

LOLLL ok ok thank youuuuuuu!
