No Ovation for this ship

In response to review, CrusinTim says ...

I'm sorry you had a bad cruise with the Ovation but I have to disagree wholeheartedly!! You stated you cruised with Princess (as we have also) but how many past cruises have you done with RCCL? We have done 3 and just got off the Oasis of the Seas and gave the ship 5 stars for our cruise. Please don't berate a whole cruise line because of one bad experience on one ship. Of all the lines we have cruised, RCCL & Princess top the list when it comes to service & total experience.

This seems to be a well written review with the OP's complaints well justified.

It could have been a one-off cruise, or could be indicative of the entire line.

It is the type of review I would definitely consider when making a choice as to line or ship. Thanks.

Maden voyages are tough. I hear a lot of growing pains. I have been on the Allure and will be on the Oasis in September. I have never had an issue with the staff or even cabins/noise (that was surprising. I expect there to be some language barriers/issues as the staff is very diverse, just as the guests.

I have had 4 cruises with RCCL and never had the hard sells on the specialty cruise line, especially getting back on the ship. The staff has always been welcoming and helpful. I'll be interested to see what other reviews say as the ship starts more cruises, but don't give up on the Line for one bad cruise.

Dear CruisinTim‚

I wanted to answer your reply to my review ,I have cruised 6 times on RCCL ,differnet ships ,so I think I have a fairly good idea what to expect ,I have cruised 8 times with princes , so again I think I have a fairly balanced number of cruises between both lines . The comments I have made are based on my experience of this vessel and to clarify , I also cruised last year on Majesty of the Seas and found the crew situation very similar , further more I cruised for 3 weeks last year on Diamond Princess and did not have any of the issues I experienced with RCCL ,in total my Wife and I have done more than 35 cruises ,so I think I may have an opion not just based on 1 ship and 1 cruise line . Thank you for replying to my review TPB
