New Cruise Dock in Alaska

If and when we ever get by the Covid crisis in the world, I for one think this proposal for a post Covid project would be super. Whittier is very close to Anchorage and in fact has been one of the two major cruise ship ports for our city for decades (Seward is the other one). I realize that the few down there in Whittier with negative assessments of the new dock are a factor. But in my opinion, this is to be expected, some of those folk want to be left as is, you know, "I got mine, the heck with anybody else".

Whittier is located in the northwest corner of Prince William Sound. I was born and raised on the Sound. In the southeast corner of it.

We really liked Alaska and sailed on Carnival. I would like some variety i.e. a new port and cruise on Princess this time.

I would not be surprised to see one of the cruise lines jump on this as they are doing in the Caribbean. But the timing might not be the best cause none of the cruise lines have much spare cash at the moment. Never know .. if the recovery is good might hear a fall announcement and see something in the spring ....

I hope it works out for the best. We enjoyed our Alaskan and know that it would be nice to expand the experience.

How long you figure it might take to make it happen? You know how quickly these things move.. heheheh...
