good idea I will check some out Thank you

We did enjoy our stays at the InterContinental Miami and at the Hotel-Kimpton Epic. Both times it was part of an included cruise package with Regent Cruise Lines, which provided one overnight pre-cruise reservations. You are just minutes away from the pier at both locations. Not certain exactly what we paid but I believe the rates are a bit lower at the Continental.

However, both those hotels are respected high end style hotels, the Intercontinental was very good, we had an exquisite gourmet Brazilian dinner in the Intercontinental fine dining room. Free breakfast the next morning was excellent too, the free wi-fi very fast and the huge flat screen and selection of channels very good. Particularly since we were glued to the TV due to a nearby hurricane that might have interrupted our cruise plans. Next time in Miami we stay at the Intercontinental and if not at the Kimpton.

I like the Embassy Suites Miami Intl. Airport. The hotel is close to the airport (1.0 mi.) and close to the cruise port. They have complimentary breakfast cooked to order daily and a complimentary evening reception nightly where alcohol is served along with sodas and snacks. Free airport and area shuttle and a shuttle to the cruiseport for a fee. I believe it's $10 pp. Right now rooms run about $118 a night which is not too bad for the area. There are other less expensive hotels in the area but for what you get at the Embassy, you can't beat the price. Hope this helps.

Most of the hotels near the cruise port are expensive. You can book hotels further away with a shuttle to the cruise port for a cheaper price. I am sure cruisers on this site can name a few.

Thank you so much for your help

Intercontinental Miami is an awesome place to stay and you can see the port from your room depending on where you stay in the hotel.
