Correction - Vision of the Sea (not adventure)

Yes, this is all great, wonderful, fantastic etc....... and I really hate to be the fly in the sugar bowl,

BUT

How will the CDC (ie US Govt) respond to all this? I haven't seen or heard anything from them on this issue.

We have the tendency to think naïve things like "what can they do, they have no jurisdiction" Yes, that's true. You can fly out of this country and board a cruise ship for a week of fun and sun. But what are they going to say when you want to come home? Are they going to welcome you back with open arms, or are you going to be quarantined? You may say, "but wait.....I've been vaccinated". But what about your kids? And just because you got your shot, it hasn't definitively been proven that you still can't transmit the virus. Especially after being confined on one of those "super spreader, germ infested, floating petri dishes" (their view, not mine).

Personally I want to see what the CDC will say about all this. I hope the cruise lines already have something worked out with them. If they don't respond with "guidance" or "restrictions", then I think that it will be ok, and also that cruising from the US will be right around the corner. Hopefully by June. My cruise is scheduled for 6/19

Announced that Adventure will be sailing from Bermuda too.

I hope this is a start of something better. Thanks for sharing.

We all hope that cruising will go ahead but how soon? All depends on vaccine rollout and whether or not the countries you visit will be vaccinated, etc. Still a ways off!!

I hope these sailings are successful and trouble free.

Thanks for sharing this information!

I notice that they will have a ship based in Bahamas for their cruising not in the states. I also see that with Celebrity they announced a ship ported in St. Martin, also not in the US. No CDC therefore no unwanted restrictions. We shall see how this works.
