ITS ABOUT TIME..IF CCL REALLY MEANS IT

This person may need help..but thats not the biz the cruiselines are in...or she may just be drunk...either way, confining people to their cabins (non-covid), or the brig, or putting them off the ship?? well, if its happening given all the cell phones and media attention, you'd think there'd be "reports" all over...or am I just being cynical when it comes to cruiselines "announcements"? If CCL truly wants to change its image (besides raising prices) you might expect to see more effective security and announcements concerning it.

If their cabin doors work like Princess, they have a mag lock preventing passengers from opening the balcony doors. So they could lock someone in and keep them off the balcony.

I know this b/c of a Canada New England cruise on Princess I took just before Covid. During a storm, we were instructed to stay in our cabins if possible due to extremely rough waters. It got so hot in our cabin I tried to open the balcony door for fresh air, but couldn't get it open. The next day I mentioned it to Guest Services and was told they are controlled by the ship by way of mag locks (magnets).

Makes sense - no idea which ships have them, which don't. And if they can be controlled on a per-cabin basis or if it's by "blocks" or "all or nothing."

I guess one could say that she both figuratively and literally had "one foot in the grave".

It would be counter productive to confine her to her cabin, she could still jump. I hope Carnival uses this incident to show that they serious about “bad” behavior. Thanks for the sharing.

I have no words ....
