Has anyone sailed with the Princess Medallion?
Did it really speed up embarkation?
How does it come?
Do you have to purchase the lanyard?
or the other things they are showing with it (Necklace, bracelet....?)

I'm sailing a Medallion cruise on the Ruby Princess next spring.

The internet is very good on the Medallion Class Cruise 
Princess is offering Medallion Cruises. They seem to be updating their ships so this "Medallion" disk unlocks your cabin door, use to make purchases on board, your I.D. getting on and off the ship, as well as being able to interact with kiosks through out the ship. If you download their Medallion app, you can add your check-in information and go through a "Medallion" line and go straight on-board at embarkation. With the app, you can order drinks through your phone or tablet and you waiter can find you anywhere on the ship.
There are other features, but I can't remember.
Basically it's your ship that is "Medallion Class" and everyone on board her is issued a Medallion.
I am sailing the Ruby Princess May 2020 and she will be a "Medallion Class" by then.
I was wondering if anyone has experienced a "Medallion Class" sailing experience?
And what accessories you can purchase?
The ads on their web site show bracelet and necklaces. There has been a post that you can purchse these on-board at or near the photography studio.
It looks like a cool concept and nicer than a card and lanyard. I had to wear a I.D. card and lanyard for work for too many years and I am not fond of it :-/

They give you the Medallion , you can buy things for it in the photo shop on the ship
