Gotta Make That Moolah

Guess it was just a matter of time, although I'm a bit surprised they didn't do it a lot sooner.

Since the major lines follow each other like lemmings, I predict you'll soon be able to order similar items from NCL, RCL, and all the rest.

Although malls are dying, I'm wondering if the next step is brick & mortar stores. Something to compete with Bed Bath and Beyond. Perhaps they can call it "Ship, Shore and Beyond"

The words "luxury" and "Carnival" don't seem fitting from my impression of Carnival. Big Smile

Those prices, though, are outrageous!!

Royal Caribbean has been offering merch, bathrobes, and sheets for years. They have significantly reduced their offerings since the Pandemic.

I don't know about you, but i would not like a pair of Towels in my guest bathroom with the Carnival logo on them.

Also the pillows are really expensive.

Reminds me of a recent visit to NYC where there were a million ads on the TV for some guy selling a product called My Pillow. Again at really expensive prices.

The Guy on the ad did not look like somebody I would buy a used car from, never mind a pillow.

I think he sells slippers also.

Truly Awful looking tat.

Lynn is so wonderful

On the up side ... if BB&B are leaving the sales space then someone needs to fill it. Why not the cruise lines. They are in sore need of an additional revenue stream

Lets not hope they follow in THAT stores footsteps...you could call it BANKRUPTCY AND BEYOND...although given the cutbacks, and their debt load, they're doing a fine job of dancing on the edge..all the cruise lines have managed to do is kick a bunch of giant cans down the road...a few bux worth of trinkets ain't gonna get it...not when there's billions involved...although in 30-40 years the stuff might be worth something...on ANTIQUES ROADSHOW. save the packaging!! hehehehe

NCL has been doing the same for a while.

Surprised they were this long in getting on board what Mel Brooks touts in Spaceballs as "Moichandising"! They really missed the boat on this one. Hope the new revenue stream stabilizes their finances.

We have always had the option of ordering items from Princess. We have replace our big, soft cuddly bathrobes purchased in 2009, once. I had to replace my rain jacket that got ripped up. I just reach out to my contact at Princess and item usually arrive in 3 to4 weeks.
