Does More Food Make a Better Cruise?

It seems lately Passengers are rating their Cruises on Best is biggest Buffett.

I prefer quality instead of quantity.

Artistic Food that's Tasty and Fresh is a Joy to eat.

Speciality Dinning has got a lot of Pluses. As example the Celebrity has Petite Chief which is an animation of a Chief preparing your dinner on your table. It's very unique and amusing. Besides delicious food.

What do you think?

Fabulous answer. You write like a Real Cruiser. I have been Cruising over 40 years. My late husband didn't fly. I am a Jet Setter. I worked 365/7 24 Hrs as the President of Interpreter and Translation Agent. Before Internet. I had to select when Holidays were and the Courthouse was Closed to schedule my Cruises.

I DON'T COOK.

I make money and Buy Fashion.

I appreciate Fine Food & Do Not Eat Much.

Fabulous Foods, Perfect Floors for my Shoes and Exstreamly Safe on Board.

I require Internet as I Must be contacted by my Horse Ranch if something comes up. Besides receiving Emails, Texts and phone calls as I manage my Ranch I am able to view my 36 cameras throughout my Ranch LIVE. Otherwise I do not need Internet.

I'm Relaxing @ Sanctuary or on a Excursion which is also Safe way to travel.

Thanks for you response.

Peace and Love

There are 3 reasons for me to get on a ship:

1) get away from real life...thats why I will NEVER have a internet package

2) Weather...WNY is well known for it's 9 months of winter, and 3 months of bad sledding. Presently, it is 17 degrees outside...and its warm today...

3) the FOOD. I'm a blue collar guy working a white collar job. I dont eat fancy at home, because quite frankly, I dont have time for it. The idea of sitting down to a 90-120min dinner at home is unfathomable. Give me a barely cooked steak and some sort of warm potato, and im happy. Once I get on board, I want well prepared, well presented food for dinner, at a minimum. The MDR is quite sufficient, however, we do specialty dining one night.

Buffet is sufficient for breakfast, but, depending on the ship, I wont step into it again for the rest of the day.

GOOD FOOD, makes a cruise better

Great topic....

One of the pleasures of going on a cruise for me, is that I don't have to cook.

I enjoy cooking, but I make 3 a day, 7 days a week and at lease 350 days a year.

For me it is not about quantity but quality. The restaurants on board and even the buffet can be a treat as long as I can keep to the quality of food that I know that I can make.

on the last cruise I got a tour of the kitchens, Certainly upped by presentation and portion control when I got home.

such adorable pictures Marjorie.

I host candlelight suppers for my award winning charity.

Must add that the food presentation is wonderful :)

Thanks for sharing

Lynn is hungry

A cruise isn't a Bar B Q..It isn't a Tailgate Party. It's an vacation event to relax and enjoy the food. Not see how much you can consume.

I like Pizza & Beer besides Champagne and Caviar. And sit down to enjoy it.

This is the Princess Line Pizza Place.

What about you?
