Does American Cruise Lines handle food allergies?

Has anyone, with food allergies, actually traveled on American Cruise Lines? Do they actually have a large enough kitchen, on their smaller ships, to accommodate food allergies, such as gluten-free, no onions, no garlic, no bell pepper, etc., all for the same person? I know Holland America has handled this in the past. I'm just wondering about American Cruiser Lines, because they seem very new and they have smaller ships, especially the river cruise ships.

Thanks a lot! I think that takes care of my query. Looks as if they're at least claiming to be the same level of service as other cruise lines.

Hi Rajid,

You are very welcome. American Cruise Lines replied:

We can accommodate special dietary requirements from our guests. A request would just need to be made with either your Cruise Specialist or our Customer Service team prior to your cruise departure date.

If you would like to speak with our Cruise Specialist regarding specific details, we can help arrange, or you can call them directly at 1-888-251-2059, we are available 7 days a week.

I hope you enjoy your cruise!

Thanks! I didn't see that statement when I looked at their site. Sounds as if they should be about as good as normal cruise lines. I'll also look forward to your direct communication with them. Thanks again!

Hi @rajid . I looked at the website and it shows Our chefs will work with you to help accommodate any special dietary request you may have. In addition, I emailed American Cruiselines and am awaiting a response. I'll keep you posted!

They are asking about American Cruise Lines specifically. The cruise line that does cruises on the rivers and other parts of the US.

Carnival has a gluten free menu. I am sure if you contact the cruiseline you are booked with about dietary concerns they will do what they can to accommodate.

You can always call ahead and ask.

Thanks! I no one else chimes in with a response, I will probably just write them a note asking.

Interesting question. We will be sailing with them April 2021, so if you can wait that long for an answer, I will let you know! If not, you can let me know!
