I was wondering how many of us use the fitness center when you cruise? I usually just make a point to do my 4-mile walk most days - mostly when on a sea day. I do use the stairs whenever feasible but rarely do I go to the fitness centers. .

Thanks everyone who replied. It was fun reading your answers.
I walk my three miles on the deck, weights every other day.
Absolutely! I was quite impressed with the fitness center aboard the Norwegian Epic and trained there nearly every day. I definitely plan to train every morning when I sail aboard the Norwegian Getaway this summer. I prefer to work out right after breakfast in the Garden Cafe. If all goes well, my first workout aboard the Getaway will be right after lunch, which will be as soon as I get on board. Watching the ship sail into or out of a port while riding a stationary bike is a really cool experience.
I do use the gym while cruising sometimes (Mike typing here). I never plan on it and it always gets bumped if anything else comes up, but I enjoy spending a little time there in the late afternoon if the schedule permits. Normal would be 30 minutes on the elliptical followed by 10 minutes in the sauna; then I take a shower there. Have you seen the showers in the locker rooms at these fitness centers? They’re fantastic! That way Amy can use the shower in our room and start getting ready. When I get back I just need to change clothes and we’re heading out for the evening – works great for us!
Love it BAK! Best answer ever!!!
I heard about cruise ships having fitness centers. I thought that it was just a rumour til I actually saw one. I felt like I was at the zoo. You know, staring through the glass at all the strange creatures. Doing whatever ritual it is they do. I nearly dropped my ice cream cone !
I just do my walk in the morning after breakfest
My wife does her workout, I prefer to walk the ship. Gymnasiums and me are not overly friendly.......
