Do you pick a cruise by the Ship, the line, the price, the dates or the itinerary ?

Living near a port I can jump on a ship any time to do the Same old, Same old for a quick get away. For me this is Baja and Mexican Riviera (to bad it is not as safe as it used to be in that area, I was on the ship in 02-2011 where 2 people got shot next to it in Mazatlan port, I know the sound of gun fire and went below decks).

I tend to start with itinerary, then ship and price.

How do you pick your Cruise ?

Hawaii is a beautiful and amazing destination! You may find that you need to visit more than once (we’ve been ten times so far and can’t wait to go again)! Aloha!

I see you’re cruising Carnival Victory in a couple of months, but what’s this “new trend” you have planned for next year? We have some friends who tend to cruise solo and I’d love to be able to give them a new suggestion. Happy cruising!

As often as possible, we try to make it clear to the family members that if they want to see us they’ll have to come along on a cruise! It actually works surprisingly often and I think the family get-togethers end up being really enjoyable for everyone!

We live in the Orlando area and we’ve found it’s actually easier to fly to San Juan, Puerto Rico for a cruise than it is to drive to Ft Lauderdale or Miami. Plus the different port stops are fantastic!

Sounds like it’s high time for an Alaskan cruise JusMe!

Being early in my cruise career, I put itinerary first, then price.

Once I hit my "have to go to" places (only Hawaii is left) I will probably put the line first, then price.

Being from Texas, those porting near Houston will have an advantage.

For us, itenary, price, cruise line. However, I really don't care where the ship goes anymore. My wife still cares a little.

I did a search there and yes it was quite an easy way to search for cruises. Only problem for me/ or maybe a non problem...because I am motivated by price for a solo cruiser...carnival cruises are the only ones that come up in my price bracket. Oh well, better a Carnival cruise than no cruise at all

We just updated our cruise search to make it easy for folks to find the 2 things most people care about - 1) The itinerary and 2) The price.

Of course, the cruse line, ship name, etc are all there as well.

Please do a search - would love your feedback: http://cruiseline.com/cruise/best. What do you think?

Thanks for that tip! I will check that out. Appreciate it
