Cruise Line Daily Programs

That is a really good idea. Even if they are only outlined by category and demographics, they would be a great help for new and experienced cruisers alike.

No, we encourage you to post any/all daily programs on the site. I wanted to see how much interest there would be in our creating an online database and encouraging our members to submit them. It sounds like enough folks do use them in planning that it might be worthwhile. Thanks!

Yes, I agree with you Glomarrone. I have met with a couple who wants to take their first cruise, They stopped by for drinks at my home and we showed them our scrapbooks, yes scrapbooks........By having the newsletters, they can see what os in store for them during a cruise.

I would strongly advise any new or inexperienced travellers to join sites like this one.... and ask all the questions you want.

I have also passed them on to others if they ask me if I have been a ship. I especially pass them on to first time cruiser who don't know what to expect on a cruise. They find them very helpful. It gives them an idea of activities to expect. First timers usually expect to be bored on a long cruise. Showing them back daily planners many times prompts them to take a longer cruise - a 7-night cruise asw opposed to a 3, 4 or 5-night one.

We save them and use them to create our reviews. We have a stack of the old print dailies in our basement. Now with our newer scanner, I suspect we will jettison them after they have been scanned and loaded to our website.

I rarely research a ship by using their daily programs as guides. But, I do save mine as references after my trip for labeling my photos or writing a review. Then I toss them. On the ship we always request two daily program listing. One hubby uses and messes up & one I keep clean. I do mark on the listing the events I want to attend during the day so I don't forget anything. They are very helpful.

We have all the Princess and NCL dailies from out cruises. They are in scrapbook with pictures, notes and souvenirs.

Yes, after looking through our logs from the three cruises we were on, we used the information to decide on the next cruise line and which activities we may take part in.

In this case the winner was the NCL Dawn out of New Orleans to Boston and Bermuda.

The clincher??? Snorkeling options in the ports of call.
