Credit or Refund (NCL)

We were supposed to go on our very first cruise this June with NCL. I'm wondering how many people are taking the credit and discount vs. the refund. We're very torn. Would love to hear what everyone else is doing.

Go with whichever one you feel more comfortable with.

Glad you were able to come to a conclusion that fit you....didn't know Canada was involved...I assume you live "up there"...had I known I can tell you I would've opted for a refund as well given the circumstances...good luck...

Thanks, everyone. We have decided to request a refund since we have no idea when Canada will lift its travel restrictions. When cruises do start up again, it doesn't necessarily mean we will be able to go.

I would take the credit, but my travel options may be different than you.

We did the credit and it worked out a lot better

Ours was with royal but we did a 125 % credit which worked out a lot better and we used the credit toward an upgraded suite next year.

I went and looked...if you elect to take the cash. you have less than a week to do it and then it takes 90 days to process...they say. info can be found on their webpage, if you get lost, click the logo, and read the "more info" about it right near the top.

We had one booked to go March 16 and we cancelled March 12 2 days before the cruise line cancelled so we did not have the option. We got FCC. The down side of FCC is it can be used only on one line and the funds are in their pocket. With refund the funds are yours and you can book with any line after.

We had one booked in NOV, so we took the credit, and had $$ left over...so we used it on another with NCL later, (with 3 on CCL in-between)….we came out way ahead of the game. what works for one doesn't for another...YOU need to sit down, and do the pluses and minuses...some folks think they'll be giving cruises away in the future...others, just the opposite. Make sure you read the terms on their website.

We do not have a booking with NCL but we did with CCL and we chose a refund. Others I know chose the rebooking option with so called incentives. It is an individual choice - you weigh it and see which option best benefits you.
