Coffee

Aside from the specialty coffee bars on ships, I have yet to find a ship that has good coffee on the buffet. Keep in mind, having had my morning coffee for over 20 years off the street carts in NY I have had some really bad coffee. But sometimes the stuff on the lido, ugh !!!!!!! I've had better coffee steeped like a teabag. Sometimes I'm tempted to bring my own coffee and a Bodum French Press.

How about you ? Any ships with decent buffet coffee ?

I like Seattles Best on Royal Caribbean

After suffering through the fine experience of C-Rat coffee in the Army, any warm to hot caffeine is goodBig Smile.

Royal Caribbean Freedom of the Seas serves free Seattles Best in the coffee shop on the Promenade. One of my favorite spots on the ship.

I mostly get coffee from room service or in the MDR.

MMmmm Room service Coffee and breakfast on the balcony as pulling into port...... only thing better is a bottle of red wine on balcony as pulling out of port at sunset Happy

Surprisingly, even HAL had miserable coffee. Even in the dining room. Unless you ordered cappuccino .

The coffee on the Crown Princess was pretty good all around.

The coffee bars on NCL are very good. I spend more there than at the regular bars.

As a big coffee drinker I agree. The coffee on the buffet is terrible. My family works at Tim Horton's in Canada and I drink a lot of coffee. Specialty coffee on Princess is good and On NCL I got lucky with our server who managed to get some decent coffee to us.

I have made it a point though on a cruise to drink more tea and nobody can srew up boiling water....

I thought the Coffee on Celebrity was pretty good from the Lido. The lido coffee on NCL, Carnival and RCI not good (I just drank Tea or Hot Coco on those lines, Carnival has the hot coco machine that's pretty good ), Princess and HAL were OK.

Some of the lines taste like instant coffee, that nasty old school instant from the 70's.

When we were on Celebrity one of my friends commented the coffee was to weak so the MDR staff had a special pot of coffee for him each night on the table where he sat.
