Sounds good. I'll do some research tomorrow. I do a 10-7 shift so there's no bars for me... not during the week at least 😀 I agree! I hate the smell. I don't smoke in the car or in the house. But the only way to make it go away is to keep away from it. I haven't been keeping up on the series but coworkers say this is time for the Astros. It looks like it's going to be an exciting series this year.

Well since I have no kids or family and watching the series tonight, my suggestion is look up a hypnotist in your area or just cut back and don't go into a bar till your done? Me I had 4 sessions planed with my hypnotist and stopped in 3 and never had another. And this might shock you, they stink, in your hair, in your clothes and so on.

Thanks for the advice, Shipper and Yankee. I quit before, for four years. I put the patch on one day and didnt smoke again. I just bought a new box of patches and just need to convince myself "today is the day". I'm in MD and they are around 10.50 per pack. It's ridiculous. This week is as good of a time to quit as any, huh?

Yeh, old news now..just scan thru a couple of sites you can join an ongoing class action. you don't even have to log into it until you see one you think appleas to you...it takes you there and THEN you just log in...we're good for a few a year...mostly $20-$100 things..makes me laff when some company gets caught lying....

Glad your both OK. Me I gained 50 # in the first year as I was told I would eat supper and 2 hours later want to eat again. One never thinks how food changes when stopping smoking. I never heard of the class action suit for smoking.

Yeh we both quit over 20+ years ago...we both worked in places where smoking was ok..end result was we were good for 2+ packs EACH daily.. When we retired we both went cold turkey..interesting experience, that was an understatement.....she has copd which is controlled by meds fortunately. I dodged that particular bullet. Few years ago we signed up as members of a tobacco settlement class action..online...didn't think anything of it until we each got checks for a few thousand. Immediately booked a cruise...remember we sat onboard and tried to figure up what we saved by quitting. and how many cruises it paid for. rediculous number...prices being what they are nowadays, we could go around the world on it. ...all I know is if we didn't quit, we believe neither of us would be around to do what we do. You gotta be functional and/or alive to do stuff.

Went thru the big changes in cruises where smoking was "phased out"...the sky didn't fall..the world didn't end..reasonable folks like No1dan2001 were in the minority. Still a sensitive subject. Especially onboard...takes effort to get to places where its ok...merely "stepping outside" isn't good enough..

Just a suggestion, I quit in 83 with the help of a hypnotist. Went from 1.5 -2 packs a day to not had one since 11-83. Oh they were $6 a carton when I stopped.

I agree as well. I'm still a cigarette smoker, but that shouldn't be allowed in a cigar lounge. I want to enjoy my glass of Azul tequila on the rocks and a Davidoff #2 (Hint NCL!) without cigarette smoke. On the Encore, in the vibe, there is no smokable tobacco whatsoever. I support that decision, surprisingly enough.
