Celebrity - full refund

Hi. I cancelled my Apex cruise for next year due to all the uncertainty within this industry due to Covid 19. Getting a full refund no questions asked. Pretty sure there will be there will be lots of opportunities/good deals in the next few years and will be loyal to this cruise line due to no hassle when cancelling.

Port charges and taxes should be refundable if the cruise line cancels the cruise. Any prepaid packages and excursions are also refundable.

Celebrity is usually pretty good with things like that. I remember cruising on the Millennium shortly after 9/11 and not only did they give us a discount, but they upgraded us for free! So I have a feeling there will be some pretty decent sales going on after the virus.

thanks for that information. Hoping if there is a change, it would be for the better. Good luck and stay safe!

THIS is exactly why I posted a few days ago about "exercising caution" when opting to cancel. The "rules" were changing from one day to the next. Guess the definition of "full refund" can be variable too. Sometimes the emails and the website can vary too. For this exercise, we saved and printed everything.

No doubt we will get a full refund For a future credit on the cruise price but keep in mind that amount does not include the taxes, port charges and other fees. Just the cost of the cruise. You will loose the other cost you paid. Most of the time it is around 20% to 30% of the total price you paid. That said, some cruise lines are giving a refund of 125% future cruise credit. This will cover some of the extra fees. Most travel agencies also will charge a cancellation fee. But some are also waving this fee as a credit for when you book with them later. I am sure we will loose some monies due to the cancellations but it could have been a lot worse. I am waiting to see exactly what the FCC and later the rebooking will be like.

Just cancelled NCL April 13 out of Miami. NCL cancelled all cruises up until April 10. We were the first cruise going out. I could not take chances with the flights possibly being cancelled and not arriving on time and did not want to risk losing the money. If not cancelled within 48hrs of scheduled departure we would lose every dime! With current hold times for airlines/cruise it was wise to cancel now. We opted for 100% future cruise credit.

Is that cruise only refund of money or a credit? Also is that air ? Thanks

Great news!!!

So happy to hear good news! Glad it worked out for you!Big Smile
