The lido deck is loud because of it being kind of closed in and so many people there. The noises the last night was probably the unloading of the luggage, you must have been really close to it. you should have sailed enough to know all cruises are outrageous for the wi-fi. Fortunately I'm not that hooked to my computer than I can just leave it at home for a week. We have been on 24 cruises and have learned you have to accept what you get. The cruise experience is going down hill.

Ship selection is really important when it comes to maximizing your preferred experience. Once we started cruising regularly we avoided Carnival PDQ because, as previously pointed out, they are "the fun ship".
If it is peace and quiet you seek, consider another line. Also, avoid booking a cabin on the deck below the pool.
Best wishes for a better next experience.
I screwed up my last cruise and got a balcony guarantee. We were right below the lido deck and it was bad.
You did sail Carnival "The Fun Ship", it is a floating party. I always check the Deck plans for what is above, below and next to my cabin. On the Carnival glory, the people in the cabin above the piano bar came down to see what all the noise was that woke them up. When they went pack up to their room they pounded on the floor and we could hear it over the piano. I was surprised that you were not woken up by kids or drunks yelling in the hall way at 4 am.
For some reason bands seem to feel that unless you are blaring music, it isn't a party. I often sit away from the lido pool for more pease and quiet.
I also know what you mean by noise very early in the morning. On a recent Q&E sessions with Senior Officers, a number of passengers complained about noise from crews working on decks. The officers explained that they didn't want to disrupt passengers wanting to use the decks in the morning. So all of us said but it is OK to wake us all up aren't we passengers, too? From then on there was no more noise waking us up. I could even hear a vacuum running and chairs being dragged around, furniture moving. There was no lounge near us.
The noise in our room wasn't luggage being unloaded. It sounded more likee a air or vacuum leak. And the noise onn the Lido deck was excessive volumne of the musiic not the people . This is my 5th cruise so I know the normal sounds aboard ship.
