Bermuda transportation

Hello

Our first time on cruise. Going to Bermuda and ship only stay 6 hrs. We want to do only certain activities like Crystal cave, Horseshoe Beach, and Gibb light house. I looked into group tours but they don't include all what we want to do. Is it better to take the ferry from King's Wharf port to Hamilton then rent a minibus to Crystal cave first then go back towards the docking port? Any recommendations on which transportation company? I'm looking at A+ and they seem to be the cheapest one around.

You would be much better off taking a cruise that does an overnight stop in Bermuda.

totally agree with captanang. it is so much faster and easier to grab and go with a taxi and much quicker for getting around. you could rent the same person for the entire day and you will be able to see all that you want. if you end up getting back early def visit the bar across from the cruise port. it is within walking distance and you can see the line to get back on when it is time to go without having to rush.

Bermuda is probably my favourite port of any that we have visited. Enjoy.

When you arrive in Bermuda there will be a large amount of Taxi's (Vans) that you can hire on the spot for the entire 6 hours. No reservation required. These local drivers will take you to the spots mentioned, probably starting with the caves and working your way back to Dockyard. Keeping with a tight schedule you will be able to see all three stops. What I am telling you is a viable plan and will work with no fuss, however there are travelers that need to have everything detailed and reserved ahead time.

This Island is very user friendly and these local taxi drivers are your best option if your not willing to ride a moped.

Bermuda is a lovely place. 6 Hours won't cut it.

Pick something from the cruise line and prepare the next trip to Bermuda that docks for a couple of days. You can't see the best of... in 6 hours, much less play golf at any of the great courses there.

I can't wait to go back.

Agree completely...that 6 hours goes past faster than you know...and considering its your first cruise, you really have no idea how much of anything "really" works...do some research on whatever cruiselines website/ship/date you're on..(you didn't mention it)...reserve the tour from home, not onboard...AFTER reading real reviews of what you get...otherwise you'll be trying to buy it with about 2000+ of your newest friends looking over your shoulder who don't know what they're buying either...most folks complain about these things turning into long bus rides..

As this is only a 6 hour port call I would book only through the cruise line. At least then if things go sideways you will not be left behind. Bermuda is not so easy or cheap to fly home from.

If you really want to see Bermuda and enjoy it take one of the 7 night cruises that overnights in Bermuda. Most of th4 major lines run them out of all of the east coast ports from Boston to Canaveral.
