Ballroom Dancing?

I wear baggy pants.......does that count? They have ballroom.....

Carnival? That's a fun ship. Try Cunard instead for ballroom dancing. A completely different demographic.

You are not alone! Ballroom dancing has gotten extremely popular, so much that it's a regular sighting on cruise ships. It's such a great hobby!

Not on carnival, no. Other cruise lines do that.

LOVE! Ballroom dancing. We took a transatlantic on HAL for our 25th. Husband would not get up to dance because the older couples were sooo good. He wanted lessons on return. That was 12 years ago. We dance sometimes 3x a week. Joined a Round dance group. Like square dance, each dance is choreographed, and a caller calls the moves. Love dancing on HAL cruises.

Never did a ballroom dance.

1.) On Carnival, no. On Royal and Celebrity, HECK YES, and you will be trained by world champions!

2.) Usually not on Carnival, but I know for a fast that they have them on Royal and Celebrity.

3.) Are you kidding me, of course not! I actually got started Ballroom Dancing while on the Summit. I was toying with the idea of taking Ballroom classes at home and wanted to see if I would even like it. I tried every single free class on the ship and fell in love with it so much that I have since signed up for local dance classes and even got featured on "NH Chronicle" for it! Had it not been for Corona, I would still be in classes, but sadly, I can't risk the lives of the seniors I work with to take a Ballroom class. If I catch a variant of the virus, my residents may die, and that's who I have to think about at this time. Once things get under control, then I'm itching to go back!

Is Ballroom dancing a thing on Carnival ships? No not really here's a partial list of the night club themes: Ladies Night, Electric White Night, Motown Night, 70’s, 80’s, and 90's Nights. Featured during those nights will be Whitney Houston hour, Latin Music Hour, Throwback Hour, Donna Summer Hour, and Michael Jackson Hour, have yet to see what star or genre they will highlight on 90's night. If on a ship with a Atrium dancefloor sometimes a quartet is contracted and will encourage people to dance to their music.

Are there learn and dance nights? No not at night, they will have on 1 of the seadays in the late morning early afternoon a Thriller Dance lesson. On Journey cruises, select voyages that are 9 days or longer, will have Enrichment Classes and sometimes they do secure a ballroom or classic dance instructor.

Am I the only one that enjoys this sort of thing? No, but it is a minority.
