I just sailed the Divina for 12 days during the Christmas and New Years sailing. It was my second time on this ship and I loved it once again. The entertainment is top notch. The bar staff was excellent! Service is always magnificent. I enjoyed the all the shows in the main theater. The Frank Sinatra show is wonderful! It was a great experience during the holiday season. I will continue sailing MSC in the future. In fact, I've already reserved the MSC SeaSide for this upcoming NewYears sailing.
August 2017 - 6 Night Eastern Caribbean (Ft. Lauderdale Roundtrip) Cruise on Carnival Splendor
Just sailed the Splendor August 2017. The service was magnificent. The staff was very attentive. The managers and senior officers were always seen walking around the guest areas speaking with guest and making sure everything ran smoothly. The food was very good compared to the newer carnival ships. Midnight buffets are served on several occasions throughout the week. Dining venues were even open until 1 am. Overall great experience on the Splendor, it exceeded my expectations since I typically sail on the newest ships. The Splendor is amazing!

This is my first cruise ever! Summer 2006 I was only a teenager at the time. The cruise ship was wonderful and we enjoyed it a ton. I've been cruising ever since and it's been 11 years.

MSC Divina

Carnival Splendor

Cruise tips
Cruise provided free shuttle to Tax Free area. This was terrible! The bus driver got lost several times. Not well organized. It was unsafe. Seems like Cristobal is not prepared to receive tourists.
Cartagena! This city was stunning! I have no words to describe the beauty. Our group walked from the port to the old city (Ciudad Amurallada) it only took us about 20 minutes to walk. We enjoyed walking and taking pictures of the colorful buildings and houses. It is very safe! There are police officers everywhere at all times. The city is very historic. There are many fruit vendors selling fresh fruits and lemonade. The beach was nice, sand is dark. The temperature was excellent during late December.
I loved Aruba and plan on returning to visit again soon. The port area is very nice and clean. There are many stores and restaurants walking distance from the ship. People are very friendly. It's true what they say, Aruba, certainly is the happy island!
Took a shared taxi $25 per person. Stopped at Casa Campo, the beach, downtown and a supermarket in the town. The downtown area doesn't seem very safe.
Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)
This is one of our favorite port of call. Amazing island! The water is very clear almost transparent. Bring snorkel gear. Lunch is provided by Carnival.
This is one of my favorite ports. Grand Turk is amazing! The water is crystal clear. I enjoy the beach here. Jack's Shack is a great place to spend the time here
Bonaire, Netherlands Special Municipality
We arrived at Bonaire 1 pm and walked to Plaza Resort. The walk is about 13 minutes. A nice beach and pool. I had my snorkeling set and went for a dive. We headed back to the ship when the sunset to shower and then went back to spend the rest of the evening in Bonaire. There is plenty to do near the ship at night. Felt very safe.
