Norwegian Sun Western Caribbean cruise
Would not recommend this cruise based mostly on the ports - Roatan, Honduras and Belize City, Belize. Unless you only want to lay on the beach and it's not raining, these ports had little to offer. We have sailed with NCL before and the Sun was disappointing compared to others, with fewer or smaller offerings. Also there seemed to be much more hard core 'selling' by the crew members on this cruise. We felt like we were on the beach in Mexico being bombarded with sales pitches.
Cruise tips
Loved walking around the city, lots to see, lots of shopping. Enjoyed the museum and it's rooftop restaurant.
What a tourist trap, but the sun was shining , there was a free swimming pool, lots of tacky shops and great spot to sit have a snack and drink and enjoy.
NA - arrived late so had little time to see the sites and waited for luggage that never arrived before we set sail.
Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras
Took a'Best of Roatan' excursion which was awful. It didn't help that it was raining, but if this was the best of this port I would hate to see the worst.
Rained all day and with a 30 minute tender to the port, we chose to stay on board. We heard only negative reports from fellow passengers, that is heresay.
