Disappointing due to Weather
Long cruise but excellent onboard experience. Unfortunately the Captain made the right decision to cancel two ports due to a storm approaching the Bay of Biscay. The captain made a 10 minute video demonstration that if we had continued on our original course we would experience 30ft waves. Whilst the company has no control over the weather a $100 OBC per person was made as a goodwill gesture. This was generous in the circumstances.

Very good cruise limited by weather
This was a very enjoyable cruise. We have been to the Canaries before and looked forward to returning. The cruise was marred be bad weather in the Bay of Biscay which meant the captain rerouting the vessel. This was a good decision as the voyage was rough but not uncomfortably so. As a result of the rerouting we missed out on our call at Tenerife.

A Good Cruise with a Few Niggles
A good cruise with an excellent itinerary but missing high quality entertainment on board.

Excellent Cruise in Difficult Times
It was great to be back cruising again after a year and a half. Princess did all that was necessary to make the cruise as normal as possible in a difficult situation.

Great cruise sad end!
We really enjoyed the cruise and the Panama Canal transit. The sad part of the adventure was the announcement that Princess was temporarily ceasing operations due to the pandemic. The last few days at sea, following the cancellation of our call at Cartagena, were quite stressful. There were concerns over whether we might be quarantined or get a flight home. Princess and the ships crew did a fantastic job of keeping us advised and happy. In the end we made it home with great memories. We do however wonder how the crew are now getting on now the vessels have been effectively laid up.

The ship is looking a bit worn and in need of some tender loving care in places. Food In main dining room was good but the menu somewhat limited. Entertainment average.

September 2017 - 15 Night Iceland & Norway Explorer (London To New York) Cruise on Crown Princess
We have just finished the September transatlantic cruise via Iceland. Crew were excellent as was the cabin and our cabin steward. We were on club dining but used the horizon court often as they tended to have different themes every night. Food was good. Production shows tended to be excellent to fair the best being Magic To Go which was excellent. Comedians fair but singers excellent. All in all a very good cruise.

Cruise tips
Took a tour to Bayona, a pretty little coastal town thirty minutes drive from Vigo.
Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, Canary Islands
We took a two hour self drive buggy exploration which was great fun. Wear old clothes as it is very dusty

Get to the production shows early

We were on a B2B and did the inter coastal waterway and coach tour of FL. Very enjoyable
Emerald Princess
Get to the theatre an hour early to ensure getting a seat. On this cruise even the lectures were SRO!
