World’s Largest Cruise Ship Arrives in the U.S

Royal Caribbean’s new ship Wonder of the Seas officially made its arrival in the United States on February 20, 2022. The vessel will operate its first-ever passenger cruise on March 4, 2022, with a Caribbean cruise from Port Everglades, Florida. 

Wonder of the Seas’  will spend the Spring 2022 season offering 7-night Caribbean cruises with stops at the cruise line’s private island Perfect Day at CocoCay. Come May, the ship will reposition to Barcelona and Rome for the Summer 2022 season to offer a variety of Mediterranean itineraries. Wonder will head back across the Atlantic in November 2022 to its new year-round homeport at Port Canaveral where it will sail a range of Caribbean itineraries.

The new ship features eight unique neighborhood districts. These areas include a number of Oasis-class guest favorite amenities as well as the debut of the Suite Neighborhood. This new section for Royal Suite Class guests offers an elevated Suite Sun Deck with a plunge pool and lounge, as well as a new private restaurant. Wonder of the Seas also includes a number of Royal Caribbean signature experiences like The Ultimate Abyss (the tallest slide at sea), FlowRider Surf Simulators, rock climbing walls, and the plant-lined New York-inspired Central Park district.

Wonder of the Seas features twenty-plus onboard eateries, a mix of new venues and Royal Caribbean dining staples. New featured spot ‘Mason Jar Southern Restaurant & Bar’ serves southern comfort food in a rustic, farmhouse-style setting. Other previously announced dining options include Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar, Playmakers Sport’s Bar, Hooked Seafood, The Vue, El Loco Fresh and Cantina Fresca, The Lime & Coconut, Wonderland, Izumi, 150 Central Park, Chops Grille, Sugar Beach, Johnny Rockets, and Starbucks.
