World’s Largest Cruise Ship Headed to Port Canaveral in November 2022
Royal Caribbean International today announced Wonder of the Seas will homeport in Port Canaveral from November 2022 - April 2023. The new world’s largest cruise ship will spend the Winter 2022 - 2023 season sailing Eastern Caribbean itineraries, each voyage including a stop at the cruise line’s private island Perfect Day at CocoCay.
Wonder of the Seas will make its official debut sailing from Port Everglades on March 4, 2022. The ship will spend the spring sailing Caribbean itineraries, and will then reposition to Europe in May to sail the Summer/Fall 2022 season from Barcelona and Rome.
The highly-anticipated vessel will feature a variety of firsts for any Oasis-class ships, including eight distinct neighborhoods. Highlights (and soon to be guest favorites) include:
Suite Class Neighborhood – This new area, only found on Wonder of the Seas, will offer Royal Suite Class guests an elevated Suite Sun Deck complete with a plunge pool, bar, and lounge spaces. It will be home to a new private restaurant, Coastal Kitchen, as well as a Suite Lounge.
Wonder Playscape – This underwater-themed play area for kids (and the young at heart) will offer new slides, climbing walls, games, an interactive mural activated by touch and puzzles.
The Vue – This new cantilevered bar will be a favorite among adult guests. The Vue offers panoramic ocean views from high above on the pool deck all day and features a colorful mosaic canopy that illuminates the sky come sunset.
Revitalized Pool Areas - The Lime & Coconut at the center of the ship will offer two poolside bars and a relaxed Caribbean vibe. Thrill-seekers will be drawn to the ‘Perfect Storm’ a trio of high-speed waterslides. Families will enjoy gathering for movies under the stars at the largest poolside movie screen in the Royal Caribbean fleet.
Wonder of the Seas will also feature a number of signature Oasis Class venues and guest-favorite experiences. This includes Ultimate Abyss, the tallest slide at sea, as well as twin rock-climbing walls, FlowRider surf simulators, and a ten-deck-high zip line. Returning neighborhoods include the family favorite Coney Island-inspired Boardwalk area as well as Central Park. Kid and teen areas Adventure Ocean, Social100, and The Patio will also be found on Wonder of the Seas with a new design.
