Princess Cruises has announced new details about the exciting new family activity zone coming to the new ship, Sun Princess. The Sphere Class vessel is slated to make its official debut in February 2024.

The activity area, named Park19, is to be located on the top decks of Sun Princess (decks 19, 20, and 21). The outdoor space will feature nine family-friendly activities, perfect for guests of all ages.

“Park19 as the name suggests is a new space created for all our guests, including activities to bring together multi-generational travel families in a location with spectacular views and fun outdoor activities for all,” said John Padgett, Princess Cruises president. “The new area was tailored based on guest feedback for more family and group activities spaces.”

Following is a look at the exciting new activities coming to Park19 on Sun Princess.

Sea Breeze – Sea Breeze is the first Rollglider on a cruise ship. The activities’ design was inspired by hang gliding, with a cruise-safe version that will take guests high above the ship and surrounding areas to enjoy panoramic views. Using an overhead track, guests will be seated and harnessed to the electric ride, which reaches speeds of up to 11 mph in 60- to 90 seconds. The experience is also ADA-accessible.

Coastal Climb Coastal Climb is a structure spanning from decks 19 to 20 through a series of climbing obstacles. Once at the top, guests can take in the views then slide back down to the bottom.
