Oceania Cruises has announced that its upcoming new ship Allura will make its debut earlier than slated, entering service one week before initially scheduled. Allura is due to join the fleet in the summer of 2025, with its inaugural sailing now departing from Trieste, Italy, on July 18, 2025.

Its new maiden voyage will cruise six days to Athens, calling Eastern Mediterranean ports including Rijeka, Ravenna, Dubrovnik, and Kotor. In addition, Oceania is also opening for sale a one-of-a-kind four-day voyage on Allura sailing roundtrip from New York in September 2025.

"Thanks to the progress made by our valued partners at Fincantieri, we are thrilled to bring Allura into service a week earlier than planned," said Frank A. Del Rio, President of Oceania Cruises. "I'm excited to be able to present Allura on a one-time taster voyage to showcase the ship to aspirational travelers who are looking to sample an ultra-premium cruise experience, and even better, sailing from downtown Manhattan, the heart of New York City."

Following its inaugural summer season in the Mediterranean, Allura will sail to Canada and New England for a series of voyages in North America before embarking on its winter season in the Caribbean homeporting in Miami. The line has introduced a four-day ‘Taste of Oceania Cruises’ that will sail roundtrip from New York between September 30 - October 4, 2025.

Oceania Cruises' newly appointed Executive Culinary Directors, Chefs Alexis Quaretti and Eric Barale, are working with the line's team to craft the menus across all venues on board Allura. A special focus has been placed on designing the delectable treats at the new Crêperie – a first for the brand.

Allura is the eighth vessel for Oceania Cruises and is the line's second 1,200-guest Allura Class ship. She follows her sister ship, Vista, which launched in May 2023.

Following are some of the highlights guests can anticipate when sailing Allura:

  • Superb service - 1,200 guests will be served by 800 crew members, equating to two crew members for every three guests.
  • The most spacious standard staterooms at sea, at an impressive 291 square feet.
  • A luxurious new library, featuring walls of floor-to-ceiling glass, oversized chairs and plush furnishings. The space continues the tradition of Oceania Cruises' libraries and is just steps away from the LYNC Digital Center and Horizons.
  • One chef for every 10 guests, ensuring 50% of crew members are dedicated to culinary experiences. The ship has five specialty dining venues, including, Ember and Aquamar Kitchen, at no extra cost.
  • Onboard enrichment, including art classes at the Artist Loft, guest speakers, and sommelier demonstrations during exclusive Sommelier's Choice and Cellar Master's Classic Wine Pairing Luncheons. Allura will also have an expansive Culinary Center and accompanying Chef's Studio where talented Chef Instructors will host classes and share their epicurean secrets.

Bookings for Allura’s new maiden voyage in July 2025 and all cruises on the ship through April 2026 are open now.
