Holland America Line’s 2025 Europe Season Open for Booking

Holland America Line today opened bookings for its 2025 Europe season. Newly announced itineraries focus on longer sailings, more voyages to Iceland, and 62 overnight calls or late-night departures in leading European cities. 

"For Holland America Line, Europe 2025 is all about longer cruises, extended time in port and offering the most diverse range of itineraries from weeklong vacations to monthlong explorations," said Beth Bodensteiner, chief commercial officer of Holland America Line. "We have 10 departure cities this season, and we are excited to be back homeporting in Rotterdam with two ships, deepening our connection to our founding city. Anyone looking to explore Europe in-depth will be able to find a Holland America Line cruise tailored to their interests, whether it's beach, history, nature, architecture, fjords, castles or cuisine."

From April to November 2025, Holland America will sail from 10 European departure cities, including the return of Rotterdam in the Netherlands, as well as Amsterdam, Barcelona, Boston, Rome, Trieste, Dover, London, Athens, Reykjavik, and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Itineraries will include visits to 11 overnight ports, and 32 late-evening departure ports (with departures between 10 PM and midnight). 

Following is a look at the highlights of Holland America Line’s 2025 European by region.

Northern Europe

Rotterdam will return to Northern Europe for the 2025 season, cruising out of its namesake city Rotterdam, Netherlands. Rotterdam will sail a range of itineraries, including: 

• Seven-day Norway and Denmark; Norwegian Fjords
• Seven- or 14-day Norway and Scotland
• Seven-day between Rotterdam and Reykjavik to Norway and Iceland
• 14-day Norway, Denmark, Germany, Lithuania, Estonia and Sweden
• 14-day Norway Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Finland, and Sweden

Nieuw Statendam will sail Northern Europe cruises to the Baltic, British Isles, and Norway up to the North Cape, or to Scotland and Iceland. Itineraries range from 14 - 28 days, and sail roundtrip from Rotterdam. New for the season on Nieuw Statendam is a 28-day ‘Artic Circle Crossing’ Legendary Voyage sailing roundtrip from Rotterdam, with 15 port visits in Greenland, Iceland, Norway, Scotland, and England, as well as passage through the Arctic Circle to the North Cape. Nieuw Statendam will also sail a 14-day ‘Artic Circle Crossing: Edinburg Evening stay roundtrip from Rotterdam. Highlights of the cruise include spending Summer Solstice at the North Cape and five calls in Norway. 

Mediterranean

Oosterdam will sail Mediterranean cruises for the 2025 Europe season from four homeports - Athens, Barcelona, Rome, and Venice. The itineraries range from seven- to 14 days and cover the eastern and western Mediterranean, including Albania, Croatia, Egypt, France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Malta, Montenegro, Spain, Tunisia, and Turkey.

Nieuw Statendam will also sail a range of 14-day Eastern Mediterranean cruises between Barcelona, Rome, and Athens to ports in Italy, Egypt, Turkey, Croatia, Malta, Montenegro, and Greece. This ship will also sail one 14-day cruise in October roundtrip from Athens to the Holy Land. Port visits include  Cyprus, Israel, Turkey, and Greece, with overnights at Haifa and Rhodes.

Canary Islands

Nieuw Statendam will offer one 14-day cruise to the Canary Islands on April 20, 2025. The sailing will go roundtrip from Rotterdam with visits to ports in Morocco, Madeira, Portugal, and England.

Transatlantic

Zuiderdam will sail the cruise line’s popular ‘Voyage of the Vikings in 2025. Departing July 19, 2025, the 35-day adventure will cruise roundtrip from Boston with calls in Maine, Canada, Greenland, Iceland, the Netherlands, Ireland, Northern Ireland and Norway. This itinerary is offered in 17- and 18-day segments from Boston to Rotterdam or vice versa. 

In April 2025, Rotterdam and Nieuw Statendam will offer Transatlantic crossings of the Atlantic from Fort Lauderdale to Rotterdam. This same month, Oosterdam will cross the Atlantic from Fort Lauderdale to Barcelona.

For October and November 2025, Nieuw Statendam, Rotterdam, and Oosterdam will sail Transatlantic voyages from Fort Lauderdale via Rome (Niew Statendam), Rotterdam (Rotterdam), and Barcelona (Oosterdam). 

Collectors Voyages
Many of these cruises can be extended into ‘Collectors' Voyages’ for extended European vacations. These sailings are made of a combination of two seven-day itineraries, seven- and 14-day cruises, or longer non-repeating voyages of up to 42 days. 

Bookings Now Open

As of today, bookings are now open for Holland America Line’s 2025 Europe season. For a limited time, guests booking with the cruise line’s ‘Have It All’ premium package, will receive the standard package amenities of shore excursions, specialty dining, signature beverage package, Surf Wi-Fi, as well as free prepaid Crew Appreciation, and upgrades to the elite beverage package and Premium Wi-Fi.
