First-Ever Over-Water Swing Ride Coming to New MSC Cruises Ship
Thrill seekers take note, MSC Cruises has announced its latest extreme ride coming to new ship MSC World America. Named ‘Cliffhanger’, the ride will be the first-ever over-water swing at sea.
The ride structure will tower above MSC World America’s top deck, nestled in the ship’s Family Aventura district.

Cliffhanger’s four seats start off close to the deck before powered arms lift them into the starting position—up and out over the edge of the ship. Riders are propelled back and forth at 160 feet above the ocean below. This one-of-a-kind thrill ride will have guests feeling the wind in their hair as they look between the water below and the sky above.
Guests will get to experience Cliffhanger when MSC World America makes its debut sailing from PortMiami in April 2025. During the ship’s inaugural season, MSC World America will sail from Miami with 7-night itineraries to destinations in the Eastern and Western Caribbean, all with stops at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve.
