Disney Cruise Line has shared new details about the features coming to its heroes and villains-inspired ship, Disney Destiny, which is set to debut in late 2025 from Port Everglades, Florida.

According to the cruise line a “voyage aboard the Disney Destiny will embrace the dynamic duality of every great Disney story, where opposing forces of light and dark drive characters to rise to their destinies.”

Disney, Pixar, and Marvel characters will inspire the venues and entertainment aboard the ship. Among the highlights is a dining experience based on the music of “The Lion King,” an exclusive confectionary based on “The Incredibles,” and new staterooms and concierge accommodations.

“For the Disney Destiny, we will introduce brand-new cruise experiences inspired by the legends and legacies of some of Disney’s most iconic heroes and villains,” said Sharon Siskie, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Disney Cruise Line. “From the dining rooms to the staterooms and everywhere in between, guests aboard our new ship will be surrounded by extraordinary storytelling paired with the signature service and family-fun adventures that are hallmarks of a Disney Cruise vacation.”

For the first time in Disney Cruise Line history, a Marvel Super Hero will be the signature stern character on the Disney Destiny. This hallmark design of Disney ships represents the theme and personality of each the vessel.

Grand Hall

The Grand Hall of Disney Destiny will be a prominent gathering space for guests. Its design will feature the distinctive iconography and vibrant palette of Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther” films. The space will embody the vision of the film, with metalwork on the pillars inspired by the banded armor and stacked jewelry found in Wakanda.

A breathtaking light fixture, inspired by Vibranium — the rare metallic ore found in the fictional nation, will be the centerpiece of the space filling it with life and color. Presiding over the Grand Hall will be a stunning statue of T’Challa, the Black Panther: King of Wakanda.

In the Grand Hall, heroes and villains from across the Disney universe will interact with guests in thrilling ways. The space will feature a stage with 360-degree lighting effects to bring shows and programming to guests from favorite characters from Disney, Marvel and beyond.

Just off the Grand Hall (on decks four and five) is Saga, a central hub for daytime family activities and adult-exclusive evening entertainment. The two-story, state-of-the-art venue will host shows and events in a space inspired by the architecture of Wakanda.

The songs and story of “The Lion King” will come to life at Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King. This first-of-its-kind dining experience will celebrate the music of the film, with a

savanna-inspired venue brings depictions of animals and nature to life through lighting and special effects.

As families dine, an ensemble of live musicians and storytellers will take the stage in the center of the restaurant as they present a musical journey of the “Lion King’s” award-winning soundtrack. A uniquely themed menu will underscore the music for a soulful celebration of family and Simba’s journey.

Edna Mode’s lab, named after the famed fashion designer from Pixar Animation Studios’ “The Incredibles” film, is a one-of-a-kind confectionary at the brand-new Edna Á La Mode Sweets on Disney Destiny.

The lab’s design will be inspired by the “Auntie Edna” short film, with ‘sewing equipment’ repurposed as sweet-making mechanisms. The result is a selection of handmade gelato, ice cream, cookies, candies, and specialty treats.

Café Megara and Café Merida

Just off Disney Destiny’s Grand Hall will be two casual walk-up cafes serving coffee, tea, specialty beverages, and snacks.

Café Megara, named after the heroine of Disney Animation’s “Hercules,” will feature a unique ‘Greco disco’ design, with lightning bolts, clouds of Mount Olympus, vases featuring Muses, and nods to Pegasus.

Café Merida, inspired by the heroine of Pixar’s “Brave” will have a Celtic-centered design. Special touches of the space will include a tapestry hung from a mounted bow, glowing lights above the bar paying tribute to the will-o’-the-wisps, and ethereal blue flames.

De Vil’s Piano Lounge

De Vil’s piano lounge is named after the over-the-top villain Cruella de Vil of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “One Hundred and One Dalmatians”. The character Cruella’s style and bold attitude will be reflected in the Hollywood Regency-inspired aesthetic of the adult-exclusive lounge. Everything will be adorned in the character’s signature color palette of red, black and white.

Guests can listen to tunes from the spotted piano and wind down with martinis, cocktails, and wines, and bubblies. One side of De Vil’s will be open to the Grand Hall, allowing guests to sit back with a drink and see the ship’s gathering space.

Cask and Cannon

Cask and Cannon, inspired by “Pirates of the Caribbean”, is the spot for revelry, recreation, and rum. Inspired by the iconic characters and scenes from the beloved Disney Parks attractions around the world, the pub will be an eclectic and cozy watering hole furnished with treasures.

The venue will show televised sporting events and boast a menu of rare and vintage rums, and a selection of ‘bootlegged’ brews developed specially for the venue.

Haunted Mansion Parlor

Haunted Mansion Parlor will feature spirited craft cocktails, reminiscent of the 999 happy haunts of Disney Parks lore. Its design is reminiscent of a first-class drawing room from the classic cruise liners of the golden age, featuring characters from Haunted Mansion attractions around the world and a selection of ghostly cocktails that capture the spirit of the story. Haunted Mansion Parlor will first debut on Disney Treausre later this year.

The Sanctum

The Sanctum will be Disney Cruise Line’s first lounge inspired by the sorcerers and artifacts of Marvel Studios’ “Doctor Strange.” The centrally located entertainment parlor will host activities, serving cocktails, spirits, and coffees.

Disney Destiny will introduce a new storyline filled with Disney Animation villains to AquaMouse, Disney Cruise Line’s signature attraction at sea. This 760-foot-long water ride will tower over the upper decks of the ship.

The ride will feature an original soundtrack written exclusively for Disney Cruise Line by Emmy award-winning composer Christopher Willis and lyricist Elyse Willis, the new show will exemplify the signature silliness of Mickey Mouse animated shorts.

Worlds of Marvel and Marvel Super Hero Academy

Disney Destiny will also feature two guest-favorite experiences from Disney Wish and Disney Treasure - Worlds of Marvel and the Marvel Super Hero Academy.

Worlds of Marvel, Disney Cruise Line’s Marvel-themed dining experience, will host guests for a celebration starring the lively duo of Rocket and Groot from the blockbuster Marvel Studios “Guardians of the Galaxy” films. As guests dine they can enjoy special songs and test their knowledge of the Marvel Universe with trivia and activities.

At Disney's Oceaneer Club, kids ages 3 to 10 will become the heroes of their own epic Disney adventures at the Marvel Super Hero Academy, a high-tech Avengers headquarters where young “recruits” are trained to be the next generation of Super Heroes alongside their favorite Avengers characters.

Heros and Villans Onboard Spottings

Both heroes and villains from the Disney universe will be found all aboard the Disney Destiny. Characters to be on the look out for during shows and meet-and-greets include Maleficent, Hades, Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook, Mr. Smee, Oogie Boogie, Captain Jack Sparrow, Bruno, and Loki.

Disney Destiny will introduce new ways for guests to interact with their favorite villains and heroes during special events and activities, such as a dance party in Oogie Boogie’s shipboard lair and an interactive Disney trivia event.

Luxurious Accommodations

A hero’s welcome will await guests aboard the Disney Destiny, with each stateroom showcasing custom artwork depicting the journeys of famous Disney legends.

Disney Destiny will offer spacious, comfortable, and functional staterooms to meet the needs of families. Most will feature Disney Cruise Line’s signature split-bath concept, many with the option of a connecting door that adjoins staterooms to accommodate larger groups.

Concierge guests on Disney Destiny will receive a premium level of dedicated service and access to exclusive areas and amenities, including a concierge lounge and private sun deck. The decor of concierge staterooms and suites is inspired by the story of Disney Animation’s “Fantasia”, with watercolor-style artwork throughout. Seven special oceanview rooms (located directly above the bridge) are themed to Pixar’s “The Incredibles” and feature floor-to-ceiling views.

The ship features four royal suites, designed with heroic proportions and themed as such. The Hero Suites will be inspired by Disney Animation’s “Hercules”, featuring Greco-Roman architecture, colors, and patterns. Boldly themed IncrediSuites will be inspired by “The Incredibles” with a streamlined mid-century modern aesthetic.

The Destiny Tower Suite of Disney Destiny is a Marvel-inspired penthouse, inspired by Iron Man with a sleek, industrial design. Armor-like materials and mechanical elements will be balanced by soft, inviting finishes. This suite, in the ship’s forward funnel, will be a one-of-a-kind suite with incredible views of the top deck and beyond through an expansive two-story window.

With nearly 2,000 square feet of living space, the Destiny Tower Suite will sleep eight guests and feature designated areas for eating, sleeping, and playing, a full kitchen, and a private ensuite elevator.
