About Oceania Cruises

Sophisticated travelers who like a casually elegant atmosphere flock to Oceania. In addition to three 15-year-old former Renaissance ships — the Nautica, Regatta, and Insignia — Oceania has two new builds: the Riviera and Marina. The new ships may be the “foodiest” at sea, with the eponymous Jacques Pepin bistro and an authentic Pan-Asian restaurant, Red Ginger. Take time to explore the impressive art collections, which include pieces by Pablo Picasso and Damien Hirst.

Expert review of Oceania Cruises

Best For

Sophisticated couples or friends who like great food, wine, design, art, and service.

Not For

Families, since the line just launched its first kids’ club program on a limited basis.

We Love

  • Foodies will be stunned by the offerings on Riviera and Marina.
  • The wine-pairing restaurant on the two new builds — La Reserve — is elegant and beautiful, and serves modernist cuisine using techniques like sous vide.
  • Oceania's art collections include pieces by Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, and Damien Hirst.
  • The Ralph Lauren suites on the newer ships are as elegant as boutique hotel suites on land, which is not a statement we make often
  • The new ship’s cooking school offers market tours, visiting chefs, and do-it-yourself, hands-on classes.
  • The Artist Loft offers classes on sea days by a rotating list of artists in residence.

We Could Live Without

  • The three older ships in Oceania's fleet lack some of the bells and whistles of the newer ones.

A special thanks to our butler, Rateesh. He was so patient and professional. When my husband was recovering from a serious nosebleed and confined to the cabin on Valentine's Day he arranged for our dinner from Jacques Pepin to be brought to... Read full review

Loved the size of the ship and it was very, very clean. Read full review
  • bbross says ...

Grand Dining Room is almost as large as the ones on Marina and Riviera. Ask waiter about portions and add a side dish if you think the portion of the entree may be small for you. Read full review
