Did you know that strawberries are grown in all 50 states? So there’s no excuse not to celebrate National Strawberry Month in May by going strawberry picking or exploring new dishes. A Carnival guest described the line’s Strawberry Bisque as, “like a bowl of melted strawberry ice cream that isn’t too sweet”. Yum! Pair this with Disney Cruise Line’s Balsamic Grande Cocktail which is described as having a sublime sweetness from the berries and a little tartness from the aged balsamic vinegar. You will be in strawberry heaven!

Carnival Cruise Line's Strawberry Bisque – Carnival Cruise Line

  • 2 cups frozen strawberries
  • 2 cups milk (whole milk is richest but any will work)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 4 fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

  • Place all the ingredients (except mint) into a blender
  • Blend on high until perfectly smooth
  • Chill overnight in the fridge (although it also tastes pretty good if you have no patience and eat it immediately)
  • For best effect, serve in chilled bowls and put a slice of fresh strawberry in the middle of the bowl
