What Are Royal Caribbean WOW Bands

Many cruise lines are getting into the wearable tech game, making it easier for passengers to swipe their band or medallion to access their cabin, make onboard purchases, and access private lounges. Royal Caribbean WOW bands are available onboard a few of its ships, and will likely add more ships as they undergo dry docs/refurbishment in years to come.

For now, passengers onboard the following Royal Caribbean ships can purchase WOW bands to use in place of their SeaPass Card:

WOW Bands are ready-to-wear wristbands with RFID chips. Their lightweight and waterproof design makes them practical and stylish, offering a hassle-free way for guests to enjoy their cruise with added convenience and efficiency. Bands can be purchased onboard for $9.99 per person. Remember that the price is subject to change, so check at Guest Services for the exact pricing on your sailing. Star Class guests will receive complimentary Star Class branded WOW bands.

The WOW Band replaces a SeaPass card while onboard the ship; however, guests will still need to use the SeaPass card for port days to get on and off the ship.
