Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

75/25 decision. Beautiful island. Extremely soft sand. Staff was friendly and hardworking. Transportation to and from the ship went very smoothly. The down side was many people were looking for a chair and other people were burying cigarettes in the sand.

I thought another stop to a different port was bad 😳 but oh heck no! This port was the worst by far. Once you tell people kindly, “No, I would not like a taxi or my hair braided” it seriously got annoying when the person would follow you for a bit just be handed off to the next person to harass you. This was my experience that lasted the whole time I was off the ship. Even when I got away from the port area. I know you need to make a living but seriously. I didn’t stay long off the ship because of all the harassing. When I got back to the ship a gentlemen was back on also with his son because of the same reason. Next trip I will stay on the boat. Sorry Jamaica.😐

Nassau, Bahamas

Not impressed. Run down, falling down buildings in straw market. Some were not even being worked on. Some ladies got mad when I refused to get my hair braided. For a place that gets a lot of tourist one would expect to keep up appearances. I went to an eatery but made a U-Turn and walked out after I saw mold on the wall and dirty counters. The police had to help us with crossing due to the drivers. Were the drivers having a bad day? I don't know. I did manage to find one area that was nice. It was on a pier. I've decided that I would go back to the Bahamas either to enjoy it from the pier or from the ship.

Port Canaveral, Florida

I arrived a day ahead to make sure I was going to be on time. Plus i took advantage of the park and cruise from my hotel. The port was clean and fast with very friendly staff.
