Celebrity Summit

August 2023 - 12 Night Greenland & Iceland (Cape Liberty To Reykjavik) Cruise on Celebrity Summit

Great Destination!

Great destination and leaving from our home state made this a winner for an itinerary. We enjoy sea days so the extra days didn't bother us as we don't look to be entertained by the staff all the time. Captain was awesome and so was the Cruise Director. The biggest letdown was the dining experience. In general, it was horrible except when we paid a lot of money to eat in Tuscan Grille or Le Chef Petite. Only time we enjoyed a delicious meal along with great service.

Anthem of the Seas

August 2016 - 9 Night Bermuda & Eastern Caribbean (Cape Liberty Roundtrip) Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

Stay away if you have a food allergy

Traveled with family and friends who are gluten-free or vegetarian.  Compared to other R.C. ships, this ship was the worse!  They only had 2 choices of frozen, sliced gluten-free bread - plain or with raisins.  Very few desserts as well.  As for vegetarians, so many people were complaining.  Only one choice on the menu a night - most dishes were from India - so they went hungry.  Had to pay for a Veggie burger in Johnny Rockets to have something decent or live on salads for 10 days!  We complained to so many staff members who just passed the ball to someone else.  NO one really cared except for one chef.  Will never travel again on this ship.  Food is horrible in general as well as the new "Dynamic Dining" concept.

Liberty of the Seas

August 2015 - 9 Night Bermuda & Caribbean (Cape Liberty Roundtrip) Cruise on Liberty of the Seas

Cleanest Ship Ever!

Great Ship - Not too big...not too small.  Plenty to do for all types of personalities.  Very well maintained ship - so clean.  Buffet needs improvement.  Food always the same and boring.  Dining room has much better food.  Staff were mostly friendly and attentive.  Shows were amazing...every night was a great show.  Spa was nice too.  Only a few chairs available out on the promenade deck.  Overall a good ship/trip.

Enjoyed the trip!

Overall, the cruise and itinerary was very nice. Dining is a wonderful experience. The crew minus one member was very attentive and friendly. We loved the shows in the evening. Need a bit more variety of activities during days at sea. The ship was very clean but in some areas it was a bit tired. But, it is headed to drydock in the future, so hopefully, they will change out the stained curtains and such. Wish they would bring more of their ships to the NY area.

Cruise tips

Isafjordur, Iceland

Very small village. Not much to do. They did their best with finding things for us to do on excursions.

Akureyri, Iceland

Another nice little village. We enjoyed seeing the waterfall and the area in general while driving around on the tour.

St. John's, Newfoundland

Our excursion was cancelled. We walked around a bit but not much to do or see. Took a taxi to the cathedral.

Smaller ship so easy to navigate.
