Great shopping! Walking around the Dutch side shopping is preferred. Hiring a local cab saved our family of six over $100 over the shore excursion price offered on-board. Our driver took us around the entire island, stopped for us to shop and directed us to a wonderful lunch before returning us to our ship. He drove six of us in an air-conditioned mini van for 3 hrs. and charged us only $120! And we got to hear local info. and history from a local person as well as do and see exactly what we wanted without any other person's schedule.

Nassau, Bahamas

We didn't have much time. You are forced through a building that has a lot of market stalls and vendors in order to get out into the city. You are bombarded with people hoping to make a sale before you even get into Nassau. However, on the streets, shopping was easily located and walking was good, no extra transportation is needed.
