We had no water level issues and all excursions occurred. The cruise director was excellent and entertaining.

We booked this cruise almost 2 years ago. It finally arrived this month. From the ease of checking in, our rooms are ready and the food was available for us to eat. The staff in the dining room, the bar and the state room attendants all did an excellent job. Program director Dave it was fabulous. Always available. We can't say enough good things about our Viking River boat cruise. This was our most relaxing vacation ever. Thanks

We really liked the smaller number of passengers and the more personal attention as compared to our ocean cruises.  Great itinerary - loved the small German towns.

Food was good, but not the variety of entrees we had on ocean cruises, but after seeing the kitchen, I understand this.

Would have liked more evening lectures about the countries we visited - the ones we had were good, but with all the history there I think this was a missed opportunity.

Also really appreciated not being "kicked off the ship" at the end.  The crew was most accommodating - we even came back for lunch after checking out, and were allowed to leave our bags on until later in the day.

Included shore trips were good, as were the guides (with 2 exceptions)

Evening light cruise in Budapest was a FAVORITE!  As was the  castle cruise 

on the mid-Rhine.

Yes I would definitely recommend this cruise.

The best part was the crew knew us by name almost right away and always greeted us and welcomed us back on board every day.  The stops on the cruise were very good.  Food was better than average.  Staterooms are small.  Most of the daily excursions were excellent.  The ship was comfortable

The most important think about our cruise was all the new places we visited.  The small towns, the local people and all the historic places we visited were astonishing, and our guides were so informative we learned so much.

The crew are all well prepared  and attuned to the need of there guests.

The tours are well organized  and the guides well vetted and knowledge .

The food is very good and what I expected. 

All in all it was a very good experience 

Review dropdown menu did not offer Rhine Getaway, but we sailed Ve on that one.  Overall excellent experience, first class service and quality people, equipment, and events.  Some details worth knowing:  Stateroom time is very limited, so buying bigger and higher is probably a waste of money.  You won't get river or shore side consistently, and half the nights we were docked inches from another cruise ship.  Try to pick a sail date that does not have two ships on same schedule, as excursions are crowded! Private balcony was not so private.  Excursions were fast and time limited, especially black forest/cuckoo stop.  One hour at site, not enough time to watch clock demo, see forest (not even a little), glass blowing, cake making, and shop for anything.  Brochure leads you to believe you get to do it all.  Pick one, and that's about it.  A couple of stops were a bit tourist-trap style, but you can avoid those shops and get off the path.  Yes, I would do it all again even at the high price tag.  Enjoy!

It was one of the best cruises that we have taken!

Not only was the trip spectacular, but we felt completely safe with the Covid protocol on the ship and in the ports.

Hi, the cruise was very good.  The staff very friendly. Rhia was  extraordinary  trying to help me with the meals. There were not to many options for vegetarian people. Some times nothing veggie  in the menu . The excursions are good   

First we need to say that this review is for the Viking Gefjon.  We were switched from the Ve to the Gefjon at the last minute.

We were very pleased with all aspects of the cruise.  From the friendly and helpful crew to the cleanliness and comfort of the ship.

It was nice that there was a shore excursion included almost everyday.  And lots of time on our own.
