Review summary

A great cruise! Great to see a dear friend of ours and enjoy everything Royal Caribbean has to offer. They do it so well! I am working on planning my next getaway!

Embarkation

We got to the port at our specified time and we were on the ship within minutes. Easy Peasy!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We ate dinner mostly in specialty restaurants and breakfast in MDR or Windjammer. Specialty venues ruled the day. 150 Central Park was my favorite, Chops was my travel partner's #1 choice. We enjoyed a latte-a-day (sometimes 2) from the BEST barista on the planet - Sean, at the Park Cafe in the Central Park Neighborhood. Friendly, funny, and, well, oh so easy on the eyes!

Onboard Activities

Oh the spa! That thermal room was a dream. We hit it almost everyday. We spent time in the casino, because lo and behold, our favorite barista became our favorite server in the evening! BONUS!! So, I lost some money...watching him work made it all worth it.

Entertainment

Aqua 80 - AMAZING! Nothing else rated, sorry to say. We walked out of 2 shows and canceled a 3rd. We were happy elsewhere...

Service and Staff

amazing, excellent, fantastic, I have nothing bad to say. Everyone on board, no matter the position or rank, bent over backwards to make me feel like they had known me for years. Remembering my name, remembering little details like extra cherries with my pina colada, or delivering an extra bucket of ice at night even though they only service my cabin once a day. Smiles everywhere.

Ship Quality

I never saw an area that I felt was neglected. It was amazing how clean the ship was with soooooo many people aboard.

Cabin / Stateroom

Okay, I have to be honest here. Everything was great BUT...the beds on RC are the worst I have encountered on the 5 different cruise lines I have sailed. Hard and short (and I am a petite person!) There wasn't much space for unpacking for 2 people, but luckily there was a very deep ocean view porthole and ledge area that gave me space to "unpack". I do also like that we were able to fit all of our luggage under the beds, although I did put my small suitcase in the closet anyway.

Ship tip

Find a way to print a map of the ship...we never quite got the hang of which end we were on or where we needed to be and did a lot of walking back & forth! Which was great...I didn't gain an ounce!

Ports of call

Just walked through town to hang and spend some time with a friend eating local food and enjoying the day.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

5 out of 5
Both days were relaxing. Day 1 - Chill Beach and some snorkeling, and we found the funnel cakes - yum. Day 2 - Coco Beach Club....so relaxing! Food was yummy, water was delightful and the tram ride was so convenient.

Falmouth, Jamaica

Dunns Falls. My 2nd time and just as amazing as the 1st. My travel partner's 1st time and she was able to cross it off her bucket list. We had a blast.

Last latte with Sean and then just like that, we were off the ship....so fast. Too fast!
