Nice ship, but turn up the AC. It's hot out!

Review summary

It was a nice vacation, however I feel that RCCL REALLY cut back on many things and the environmentalists pushed too hard and the "luxury's" have been scrapped. The casino's machines let off a LOT of heat, there are a LOT of people and only 1 of the nights was it comfortable. Many times I had to leave because I was dripping sweat. The Royal Promenade wasn't cool either on a formal night. Guys in suites were sweating and had to wait forever for pictures. Keep the ocean clean by all means but turn the air up a bit!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Some bartenders need to learn to make their signature drinks! The food was good, but the main dining room cut out some of the classics and some of the choices were blah. The windjammer is always good. The burgers were amazing.

Room Service*

3 out of 5

The people answering the phones were very rude and pushy, the only reason I give it 3 starts is the people delivering were very very nice.

Onboard Activities

Everything was too crowded... TINY area for children with swim diapers and it was worthless. Swim diapers are fine everywhere else, but the babies were shunned!

Carousel

My 3yo granddaughter LOVED it. She didn't want to get off... However Grampy was getting dizzy...

Royal Promendade

Way too hot and poor selections! Way to much of the same things over and over! 2 rooms just for ladies purfume??? and less RC merch.... goofy!

Service and Staff

Room attendant and head waiter were amazing as always. We however ordered in January Inky plush toy and blanket for 3 little ones. They were supposed to be a surprise when we got there and nothing was there. I waited forever for Guest services and they told me it'd be there promptly and it was not. I again waited and then they told me they were trying to get ahold of me that it was out of stock. 4 months and not one email, and only after they said that was a note on our bed. They called me in my stateroom and the only thing they could offer is a sand bucket set. Not too much fun for 2 1YO's! No discount offered just full price for their mistake. I felt they lied to us and ruined the surprise for everyone. Very disappointed.

Jr suite, VERY nice and was perfect for the babies with a bathtub.

Ship tip

Pack light clothes, they cut back the AC on the ship and it got incredibly hot and uncomfortable!

Miscommunications, and the staff in the terminal were very pushy and rude. KEEP WALKING, NO STOPPING! Umm I AM going to wait for my kids who don't know what to do! Jeez there aren't that many people here at the moment! Calm Down!
