Review summary

I loved this cruise. This was my first cruise and I was blown away but the attentiveness of the staff, how nice they all were and how they seemed truly focused on making this a wonderful experience for your vacation. I haven't been on any other cruises but this is my favorite vacation by far. I was sad when it was over and was ready to book my next cruise with Royal Caribbean. Even though I am back home, I am obsessed with learning as much as I can about company, the different ships, and the e up in the next few years to find another one to gone on. I loved the attentiveness of the staff, the food in the main dining hall and the snacks in the other venues like Sorentos, the different activities and you can do as much as you want or as little. It was hard to keep up with everything you wanted to do so decide what is most important because you can't do everything. Use the Compass newsletter placed in your room at night to decide what you doing the next day.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
We had no problems with the embarkation. We had family to help guide us and we were prepared. The staff were very nice, helpful, and patient. It was overwhelming and even though we arrive early, there was still a line but not too long. I believe we got on the ship around 11 am and went to the Windjammer for lunch.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The buffet at the Windjammer was good but the main dining hall was great! We had different wait staff each night and all of them were great. We enjoyed eating in the main dining hall every night. They were very attentive. We did not eat at any specialty restaurants. We had reservations for a table every night with the My Time Dining.

Champagne Bar

5 out of 5

The drinks were yummy and Heidi was very attentive!

American Icon Grill

5 out of 5

This venue was great! The food was wonderful and the manager made announcements that were fun. They also had the staff dance and the guests wave their napkins around in circles! It was a lot of fun! Nefi, Panyue, Christopher, Allan, and Angelo were awesome! I miss them.

Onboard Activities

Day Spa and Fitness Center

5 out of 5

I had an amazing massage at the spa.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
El Guacho was really enjoyable and the comedy show was funny. I liked the Casey in the comedy show and wish he had more time in the show.

Children's Programs

I didn't take any young children with me.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
They were amazing. I have never had service this good.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship's layout was well organized but due to the size and the first time being on a ship, I was frequently turned around. There were maps everywhere and the staff were always helpful. The ship was very clean. The staff in the Windjammer were always giving out hand sanitizer, there were hand sanitizer stations everywhere, bathrooms were close by to wash your hands, and the tables throughout the ship were always being bused. I also saw early one morning, staff wiping the hand rails down.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The size was adequate for sleeping but could be difficult to move around. We had three people in our cabin and we sometimes got in each other's way.

Ship tip

Try to learn the layout of the ship. It is very big and takes a few days to learn where everything is. Make reservations for your dinner times in the main dining hall.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

4 out of 5
We did not have an excursion because this is where we embarked and disembarked.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

4 out of 5
This port was nice. The beach was nice and I liked that lunch was provided. I chose to do the zip-line which was fun but the paperwork got all mixed up and then they changed the weight limit. This delayed our excursion so it took a lot of time away from relaxing on the beach.

Falmouth, Jamaica

5 out of 5
Lots of fun. We took the river tubing excursion. The staff were very attentive! Alando Gilpin was our rafting guide and he was terrific. I liked how all the staff were very open about teaching you about their Jamaican culture and letting you participate in some of that with the language like "Yeah mon."

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
This port was the most fun but also the hottest. We did the snorkeling excursion with Fury. Angel was the boat captain for our catamaran. He and his crew were lots of fun and took care of all of us. I enjoyed this excursion the most. It did feel a little rushed.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
The disembarkation was super easy. We walked right off with no problems, located our luggage easily and quickly loaded the hotel shuttle that took us back to our car. We couldn't have asked for any easier disembarkation.
