Review summary

This was our 50th wedding anniversary cruise and the rating does not show how much we enjoyed our cruise. The penguins were a fantastic addition. The crew remembered our anniversary and sent a cake. We will cruise with NCL again

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Slow- difficult to stand in one place for so long for someone with mobility issues

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Specialty restaurants were good but main dining room meals were pretty boring with little change in the menu. Staff was accommodating with gluten free

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Cruise director was fantastic. Appreciated that there was classical music for the first time

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Steward was just so, so... but dining room staff was great

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
I will never travel on the Sun again. The layout was terrible. The atrium was small. Dining rooms (specialty) were hidden away and difficult to find. The ship was clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Door needed new weather stripping. The wind howled through it. Somebody had tried to put masking tape on it... very tacky solution. Bathroom was tiny for a 6’4” man. Loved all the storage.
