Norwegian Sun

7 Night Alaska Glacier Bay Northbound (Vancouver To Seward)

Sail date: July 20, 2015

Ship: Norwegian Sun

Cabin type: Inside

Cabin number: 0308

Traveled as: Couple

Reviewed: 8 years ago

Review summary

Food quality on the Sun not up to the experience on the NCL ships Spirit and Dawn.  Garden Cafe only has one side open, vice two on the other ships, leading to mass crowding.  Not enough staff making and serving pizzas and the choices were limited - cheese and pepperoni.  The evening entertainment shows were weak especially the Flashback4.  The Ship's singers and dancers were good.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

For an Alaska cruise, they did not serve crab legs at all - major disappointment!

Cabin was great and included a nice full length sofa

Ship tip

Do not take it for an Alaskan cruise, NCL Sun is too small. Heard good things about Princess and Celebrity ships in towns we visited from their passengers.
