Review summary

This was a wonderful cruise for the holidays. The only thing that the Norwegian Star needs to fix is the internet. Basically, non existent. They do not have Star Link and should not even sell packages. That being said, they did refund those packages. Antartica was a breath taking trip.

Embarkation

Buenos Aires had a devastating windstorm that closed the original passenger terminal. NCL did a great job adopting to a new port to load customers.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All personnel were very friendly, courteous and pleasant.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Even though the ship was full, many times we were the only ones standing at the elevators. Did not feel crowded at all.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin is aft, with a wrap around balcony. Penthouse level, great size, very well laid out. The perks were a butler and concierge. Also, breakfast at Moderna every morning, and lunch at Cagney's. Special balcony seating for lectures and shows. Also, priority boarding for tenders at ports.

Ship tip

Definitely pay for the upgrades if you can.

Disembarkation

This was terrible. Again, we were not at the original place we sgould have debarked due to the port being damaged by the storm. NCL and the port did not corrdinate well. Bags were grouped by color, but the organization on how to pick up your bag and the procedure left a lot to be desired. We did not see any NCL staff in this area.
