Cagney's Steakhouse on Norwegian Star

It is worth the time and money (part of our package) to eat there. My filet was tender and tasty and done to perfection. My wife had a rib eye that she said was excellent and she is not much of a steak eater. Service is always a cut above in the specialty restaurants too. Kind of like it used to be on cruise ships.

The steak was excellent! We weren't exceptionally hungry but it was all good. One mention is that we did not make reservations early in the trip and were told the earliest we could get in was 7:45. We found that we could arrive early and get seated much earlier. Another couple came in without reservations and got right in. I'm not sure why they didn't tell us reservations weren't necessarily required.

Excellent food and service

If it wouldn't have gotten strange I would have gone there every night. The food was fantastic and the service was outstanding. I had steak all 3 times we went and found the rib eye fantastic. My wife had fillet twice and sea bass once and loved the sea bass. The sommelier, Lidia, (I am spelling her name wrong) was so personable, she always made us feel welcome and always had good advice. One time we were describing a wine pairing that we had on Carnival and she said she would do it for us and she did. I do feel bad as we had gotten her into a bit of trouble. Perhaps NCL should consider a wine pairing activity. Anyway, the bottom line is go to Cagneys.

Very good steakhouse. My wife and I ate here 5 times having: Bison - very good Sea Bass - excellent Porterhouse - very good NY Strip and Rib eye were good

Great dining. We had the two extra meals vouchers for being platinum . Meat was wonderful, Of course sides were extra. I got to listen to diner complain the whole meal that he should be getting everything for his voucher and not having to pay extra for the wine that wasn't on the select list and his sides. But my strip steak was great and her fillet mignon was excellent too.
